These Online Booking Terms and Conditions apply from November 1, 2017.
We thank you kindly to take note of these General Conditions of reservation. You will be asked to confirm that you have read and understood these as an integral part of the Terms and Conditions before finalizing your booking.
1. Online booking process
Here are the main steps to take to make a car reservation online:
I. Step 1: Research
Enter your rental criteria on the online booking form including the choice of dates, the place of pick-up/ return of the vehicle.
II. Step 2: Choosing the vehicle
Depending on the pick-up and return dates that you have communicated to us, Olala will provide you with several possible offers corresponding to your request.
An offer is defined by:
– a service that includes a category of vehicle available for the chosen duration,
– a total price and a prepayment price, the balance as well as the guarantee deposit will have to be paid when taking in hand (pick-up) of the vehicle.
You can then select the offer that best fits your expectations.
III. Step 3: Confirmation
After completing all of your personal details, you will be asked to check your booking summary and give your consent. To do so, You will be invited to read the General Conditions of Rental. Once these Conditions have been accepted, it will then be possible to finalize Your reservation by prepaying a percentage of the total amount of the rental.
IV. Step 4: Booking confirmation by Olala
Olala sends you a booking confirmation including Your reservation number and all the details of the booking.
In the case of a payment by bank transfer, the reservation will be complete only after reception by Olala of your transfer. If you make a transfer in another currency (EUR, USD …) please send us a sum at least equal to the prepayment amount in your currency. We recommend www.xe.com to know the current rates.
2. Booking e-mail sent by Olala
At the end of the booking process, you will be redirected to a “booking confirmation” page where the booking number will be highlighted. You will also receive a booking confirmation email containing all the details of your booking. We recommend that you print it and keep it for archival purposes.
If you have chosen “bank transfer” as a prepayment method when booking, you will find at the bottom of the email, the bank details to make your transfer.
3. Booking details
Date of reservation:
We accept bookings up to 24 hours before taking the vehicle.
Minimum rental period:
The minimum rental period is 1 day. 1 day is 24 hours. In these 24 hours are included the time for the taking and the return of the vehicle in agency. Rentals less than 24 hours are charged at the price of a full day.
Maximum rental period:
You can rent your vehicle for a maximum of 12 months.
Your quote for Olala car rental includes all charges that match your booking criteria.
This quote usually includes the following:
– VAT or local tax;
– unlimited mileage;
Rates are guaranteed for the rental associated with the confirmed reservation and summarized in the booking email.
5. Payment / Credit Card
When making your reservation on Olala, you will be asked to make a pre-payment of a percentage of your reservation to guarantee it, either by secure online payment or by bank transfer from your bank to Olala bank account. For online payment, Olala has chosen to entrust the security of this payment to Paypal, so you can make prepayment online:
– by logging in with your existing Paypal account to pay the pre-payment amount,
– by creating a new Paypal account,
– or simply by using your credit card to pay via the Paypal payment page, without obligation to create a Paypal account.
When picking up the vehicle, Olala will ask you to pay the balance of the reservation and the deposit (or deposit per passport) according to our terms of deposit. This balance must be paid in cash in the local currency: Thai Baht (THB).
6. Conditions to be fulfilled for renting: Documentation & age limit
The Authorized Driver of a Vehicle is any person who meets all of the following conditions:
– be expressly named and fully identified in the Rental Agreement;
– present a valid identity document (national identity card or passport);
– hold and present a valid international or Thai driving license.
– be at least 18 years old.
7. Edit / Cancel a reservation
You can change your reservation, free of charge, provided that You inform Olala at least 24 hours before the beginning of the rental day, online at the Olala website via the “Edit your Reservation” page. You will note that a rate change may be applied in relation to the new booking dates.
You can cancel your reservation for free up to 8 days before the start of the rental day, online at the Olala website via the “Edit your Reservation” page. To obtain the refund of your prepayment, please contact us by phone, e-mail or via the contact form to define together the best method of refund.
After this time of 8 days before the beginning of the rental day, the full prepayment will be retained by Olala in compensation for the late cancellation of the reservation.
8. Reservation guarantee
Olala is required to provide a vehicle of the category specified in the booking as follows. If this is not possible, a solution will be offered at no additional cost within one hour of your arrival.
8.1 Olala agrees to provide you with your vehicle category until its closing time. Beyond this limit, if you did not show up, there will be no show fees.
8.2 Cases of theft
At the airport, the reservation is guaranteed until 1 hour after the arrival time specified in the reservation specifying the flight number. In case of flight delay, we serve up to 1 hour after the actual arrival time. If we had to exceed our normal opening hours, we would then be able to apply an additional cost.
8.3. No introduction to vehicle handling
If you are concerned by the conditions of application of the guarantee of reservation beyond one hour, that you did not cancel your reservation at least 2 hours before the scheduled time and that you did not appear before the closure of the agency, Olala will be entitled to retain the prepayment amount and cancel your reservation.
8.4. Inability to deliver the vehicle category during the warranty period
If we could not guarantee the delivery of a vehicle of the reserved category, we would propose you:
· Upgrade free of charge OR
· Downgrading to the corresponding price with compensation such as an upgrade ticket for a future lease.
For cases where these 2 alternatives are not acceptable and no vehicle of the reserved category would be available during the hour following the scheduled departure time, we will offer you the following alternative at no additional cost: rental of a vehicle from another company located near the Olala agency.
In cases where the regulations require the payment of an indemnity for your benefit, the agency will proceed as it should.
9. Force majeure
No party will be liable for its performance in cases of force majeure, as defined by the regulatory authorities, that prevent the party from fulfilling its obligations.
Thus, the transaction will be canceled and the agency will refund the amount collected. The agency will not be bound by any obligation in accordance with the refund.
10. Applicable Law – Competent Jurisdiction
These Prepayment Conditions are subject to Thai law and are available at www.olalathailand.com.
